Well, not exactly... Fushigi Yuugi is about how two 15-year old girls find a
book called "The Four Gods' Heaven and Earth". The book's first page states -
"This is the story of one girl, who gathered the Seven Seishi (Stars) of Suzaku,
thus aquiring the power to make any 3 wishes come true. The story itself is also
a spell. One who finishes the book shall aquire the same power as |

the heroine, and in turn, her wishes will become reality." Upon turning the
first page, in a gust of wind and red light Yui and Miaka are transported to
Ancient China, where both gods and magic are all too real....
